RANJAN RELEASED

The Supreme Court has convicted former Minister of State Ranjan Ramanayake of contempt of court for declaring the majority of judges and lawyers corrupt and sentenced him to four years in prison with hard labor.
Former Minister of State Ranjan Ramanayake is currently serving his sentence in connection with the case and it is reported that the government is considering releasing him.
