READY TO IMPORT RICE

Traders say that the price of rice in the country is currently rising rapidly.
Therefore, the Cabinet has approved the importation of rice required to provide rice to the people at reasonable prices.
Trade Minister Bandula Gunawardena has proposed to import rice to ensure that there are sufficient stocks of rice in the open market.
The proposal made by the Minister of Trade, to proceed with the relevant activities, was approved by the Cabinet.
