REELATIVES SET FIRE TO THE CRASHED BUS

A cyclist has died after falling under a bus in the Ritigahawela area on the Maliyangama road in Avissawella. Later, relatives of the deceased had come and set the bus on fire.
The accident took place this afternoon (15) while transporting workers in a factory.
The 65-year-old cyclist was killed on the spot and the driver of the bus fled the scene.
It is reported that when the Avissawella Police arrived and took the bus into their custody, angry relatives had come and set the bus on fire.
A police officer who was in the bus at the time was also injured.
