The Colombo Commercial High Court in Sri Lanka has issued an order prohibiting a flight carrying nearly 200 passengers bound for Moscow from departing from Sri Lanka at around 12.50 pm today (02).
A Russian Aeroflot flight from Moscow arrived at the Katunayake International Airport at 10.10 this morning. Celestial Aviation, an Irish airline, has made this request to the Colombo Commercial High Court to select the departure of U-288 aircraft.
The order was issued by Colombo Commercial High Court Judge Harsha Sethunga. Arrangements have been made to send the flight attendants to nearby hotels due to a transaction issue between the two companies. It is reported that the airport authorities, the Attorney General’s Department as well as the officials of Aeroflot Airlines are in discussions to resolve the issue and release the aircraft.
