SAPUGASKANDA CLOSED AGAIN

The Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery will be closed again from today (03).
The Minister of Energy stated that the refinery has to be closed down due to the foreign exchange crisis which has created a problematic situation for the purchase of crude oil.
This is the second closure of the Sapugaskanda oil refinery, which was closed on November 15 and reopened 22 days later.
However, a fuel tanker is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka in the last week of this month, after which the refinery will be reopened.
