SIGNS OF DISAPPEARING IN THE BOTTLE OVER TIME

Dr. Samadhi Rajapaksa, Chairman of the National Authority on Tobacco and Alcohol, said that the government had requested for a ban on alcohol bottles and that there had been a positive response.

According to a survey conducted by the Tobacco and Alcohol Authority under three age groups, 72% of respondents said the bottle should be banned during alcohol consumption.

The survey was conducted considering different age groups as well as different levels of education as representing the whole society.

Accordingly, 40% of the population between the ages of 17-30, 35% of the population between the ages of 31-45 and 25% of the population over the age of 45 participated.
