SPECIAL ASSISTANCE FROM INDIA

Sri Lanka has received over US $ 900 million in foreign exchange assistance from India.
It is reported that the assistance was provided to strengthen the country’s foreign exchange reserves.
Sri Lanka has also extended the payment of another US $ 500 million due to India under the Asian Clearance Arbitration Framework.
