Well-known television announcer and former legislator Alexander Nevsorov has said that Russia’s actions in the besieged city of Mariupol in southern Ukraine are tantamount to “terrorism.”
“I can not remain silent. Terrorism is happening in Mariupol,” he said of his two – week bombing of the Telegram channel and the shelling of the Azov harbor.
But the Kremlin-controlled media say Russian forces are “liberating” Ukraine from internationalists and “neo-Nazis.”
They also claimed that civilians in the Azov forces, including internationalists and neo-Nazis, were being held “hostage” in Mariupol.
“Is this liberation when we have killed hundreds of civilians to disperse a dozen soldiers?” Nevsorov wrote that he would have to leave Russia after this note.
