A man has been stabbed to death with a sharp object in the Elpitiya area.
The victim is a 34 year old father of one living in the 2nd pillar area of Elpitiya Pituwala Road.
The brother of the deceased said that his brother’s wife was pregnant and had broken a nut from a jackfruit tree on the border of another’s deserted land for starvation.
A neighbor who saw it got into an argument, and after it went too far, the neighbor stabbed the man who broke the jackpot.
The injured died on admission to the Elpitiya Hospital.
