THE MAHAWELI IS GETTING ROUGHER

The Irrigation Department has informed the public that the use of the Mahaweli River is at risk.
The water level of the Mahaweli River has risen due to the overflowing of several reservoirs. This was stated by Mr. Abeysiriwardena.
He also pointed out that the water level in Kalaoya, Batticaloa and Mundeniyaru reservoirs has also risen.
