The ruling Taliban is seeking the help of the international community to help Afghanistan, which is currently reeling from the devastating earthquake.
The Taliban has demanded that the displaced be provided with food, medicine and other essential items.
The quake, which struck off the coast of Afghanistan’s Paktika province, has so far claimed more than 1,000 lives.
According to foreign media reports, the number of injured has exceeded 1,500, making it the worst accident in Afghanistan in 20 years.
