THERE ARE SUFFICIENT STOCKS OF FUEL IN THE COUNTRY – CHAIRMAN OF THE PETROLEUM STORAGE TERMINAL

Chairman of the Sri Lanka Petroleum Storage Terminal Mohamed Uwais stated that there are sufficient stocks of fuel in the country at present.

He further stated that fuel is being distributed island wide as required and there is sufficient fuel in warehouses and there is no shortage of fuel and there should be no queuing in front of petrol stations in vain.

He made these comments while participating in a special media briefing held today.

Also, 36,000 metric tons of petrol is to be imported tomorrow (18) and 40,000 metric tons of diesel will be imported on the 19th, the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Petroleum Storage Terminal said.
