THERE WILL BE NO POWER OUTAGES TODAY

The Ceylon Board states that there will be no power outages in any area today (11).
However, the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) yesterday (Oct. 10) announced a timetable for power cuts in the event of a future need.
According to the relevant schedule, the areas of the island are divided into four zones as A, B, C and D and the power cuts in those areas will be cut off every hour from 5.30 pm to 9.30 pm.
The cuts are scheduled to run from Monday to Saturday, but Sunday is not included in the schedule.
The cuts will be implemented if necessary to take steps to manage electricity demand.
