Today is Thaipongal day

Today is Thaipongal, a festival celebrated by Hindus.
Thaipongal means “Harvest Festival”.
Accordingly, Hindus offer their first harvest from agriculture to the sun in gratitude for the richness of the harvest.
Hindu religious leaders have said that the Thaipongal festival reflects the religious, social and cultural ties of the Tamil people around the world.
Ravana also wishes all the best to all the Hindus in Sri Lanka who are celebrating Thaipongal today.
