The Public Utilities Commission has stated that there will be a power cut for more than four and a half hours island wide today (23) as well.
The commission pointed out that the power cuts were due to the lack of fuel for the power plants.
The commission chairman Janaka Ratnayake has stated that the power cuts will be from 8.30 am to 10.30 pm.
Accordingly, power cuts will be imposed for 4 hours and 30 minutes in some areas and for 4 hours and 40 minutes in other areas.
