Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Northwestern provinces and in the Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts, the Met Department said.

The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology warns that there could be more than 100 showers in the Anuradhapura district as well.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in the Uva Province and in the Ampara and Batticaloa districts during the evening or night.
Showers at times in the western slopes of the central hills, in the northern, north-central and north-western provinces and in the Trincomalee and Hambantota districts. Strong winds (40-50) are possible.
