Today’s weather conditions

Today (17th), there is a possibility of scattered rain or thundershowers in Central, Uva, Eastern, North and North Central provinces in the evening or night.
The Department of Meteorology stated that light rain may occur in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts.
Meanwhile, the department also urges the people to take necessary measures to avoid temporary strong winds and accidents caused by lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
