The Department of Meteorology announces that there will be several periods of rain in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts today (20).
The department also announces that there will be rain or thundershowers in Uva province, Ampara and Batticaloa districts this afternoon or night.
Meanwhile, the Department of Meteorology requested the people to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunder showers.
