Trade tax on imported potatoes and big onions lowered

The Special Commodity Levy on imported potatoes and big onions has been reduced.
Accordingly, the Special Commodity Levy on imported potatoes and big salt has been reduced by Rs. 30.00 per kilogram, the Finance Ministry said.
These steps have been taken with the approval of the Minister of Finance on the instructions of the President with the intention of providing some relief to the people by lowering the current prices in the market.
