An elderly woman and an elderly man have been hacked to death in the Giradura area in Pallebedde, Embilipitiya.
It is suspected that the incident may have taken place last night (11) and the couple M Dayananda (82) and R Hemalatha (75) were killed. Our correspondent stated that the body of the woman suspected to have been killed was outside the house and the body of the man was inside the house.
