Upgrading phone services from today

Telephone companies have decided to increase telephone service charges and pay-TV charges with effect from today (05).
This decision has been taken under the approval of the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission.
Accordingly, all mobile, landline and broadband charges and other pre-paid and post-paid charges are to be increased by 20% and pay TV service charges will also be increased by 25%, the companies said.
This price hike has been done due to the increase of VAT from 12% to 15% by the revised budget.
