Warnings to people near the river.

The Irrigation Department has issued an early flood warning notice that will be applicable for the next two days from tonight (30).
The notification issued by the Department of Irrigation states that there is a possibility of flooding in one or more of the Attanagalu, Kalu, Kelani, Ging, Nilwala and Mahaweli basins.
Thus, the people residing in Droni have been further requested through the announcement to be aware of the flood conditions from tonight in the next few days.
The public has also been informed to be careful while using rivers and tributaries in the upper reaches of the river basin.
