Weather warning

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for heavy rains.
According to the announcement, heavy showers exceeding 100 mm are expected in the Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva and North Central Provinces and in some places in the Kalutara, Galle and Matara districts.
The Meteorological Department said in a statement that measures should be taken to reduce the risk of temporary strong winds and thunderstorms.
