The Director General of Health Services has issued a circular outlining the action to be taken if a person is diagnosed with Kovid and a person suspected of being infected with Kovid on school premises.
It states that if a person (a student, a teacher, a non-academic employee, or anyone else) is identified, that person must first be placed elsewhere in the school.
If a student is then identified, a parent or guardian should be notified immediately.
Also, the relevant Regional Health Service Officer in the area should be informed immediately.
School authorities can also admit the infected person identified at the school to the nearest hospital.
