Will gas stations close?

It is reported that around 400 petrol stations have to be closed down due to the new payment system introduced by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation.
According to the new payment method introduced by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation recently, the payment for the fuel stock they get should be made the day before the fuel is ordered.
Kumara Rajapakse, President of the Gas Station Owners Association, stated that although it was stipulated that the payment for the fuel stock required for the next day should be made before 09.30 the previous night, it is difficult to do so.
He has also indicated here that if they fail to make the payment before 09.30 the previous night, they will not get fuel.
Mr. Kumara Rajapaksa, President of the Petrol Station Owners’ Association, further stated that due to the inability to complete the orders as scheduled, around 400 petrol stations have to be temporarily closed on a daily basis.
