World Mental Health Day is today.

Today, October 10, is World Mental Health Day.
The theme of this year’s Mental Health Day is “Making the mental health and well-being of all a global priority.”
A special program for that purpose is scheduled to be held today under the leadership of the National Institute of Mental Health.
Meanwhile, a bicycle ride was organized by the National Institute of Mental Health yesterday (09) to commemorate this day.
Commenting on the World Mental Health Day, Dr. Narmada Gunathilake stated that maintaining a person’s physical health as well as mental health is an extremely important factor in a person’s life.
Also, Dr. Narmada Gunathilake has further indicated that if a person is suffering from a mental problem, they can call the 1926 telephone number and get the necessary advice to get rid of it.
Ravana note.
Especially recently, several university students committed suicide by shocking us all. One of the news we heard recently is the news that a student of Peradeniya University sacrificed his life in the Mahaweli River.
During the investigations, it has been revealed that the student decided to take his own life due to mental distress.
However, it must be understood that the destruction of this intelligent generation, which is about to take over the future of the country, will not be very auspicious for the future of the country.
If it is possible to find out about the various problematic situations that occur in the university and inquire about the children who have such problems and prepare a program to give some relief to their minds, no one can face such unfortunate fates.
Not only in universities but in the school system as well as in the society of our country, you will meet many people who have faced such problems.
Today, which is World Mental Health Day, one of the main things we should keep in mind is that if there is someone close to us who is suffering from problems in the society, even if there is nothing we can do for him or her, we will have the opportunity to save a life by listening to his or her problem.
