Kotadeniyawa – A fire has broken out at a poultry farm in the Waragala area.
It is reported that about 8,200 animals have died.
The police stated that a group of hens and other chickens who were laying eggs at the farm had caught fire.
The fire broke out this morning (11) and the cause of the fire has not been identified yet. The fire was brought under control by the Negombo and Gampaha Fire Brigades.
