The world powers are isolating Russia in the face of the Russian-Ukrainian war, and the President of Ukraine has come to the battlefield for his country with firearms. At the same time, the President of Ukraine was in close contact with the international community and was engaged in excellent international management to take advantage of the war.
Ukrainians have also taken up arms for their country, and international Ukrainians are making plans to accept refugees from their homeland.
Meanwhile a special session of the German Parliament was convened yesterday on behalf of Ukraine. According to Kovid’s rules, the public gallery was packed with all the members of the House of Representatives. There, the German government’s position on the Ukraine war was expressed. It has been stated that they will stand for Ukraine. Prior to the announcement, two special persons had arrived in the German Parliament. They are the Ambassador of Ukraine and the former President of Germany Joachim Gauck. The Speaker first introduced the President and secondly the Ambassador. The Speaker said she appreciated the courage of the people of his country and the patience shown during this difficult time. The Ukrainian ambassador rose from his seat, clasped his hands and saluted for three minutes in the German parliament on behalf of the 40 million people of his homeland. According to the special correspondent, this is the first time in recent times that such a round of applause has been issued in Germany, except for Angela Merkel. She has stated that this incident explains the role of the embassy in a country and that an ambassador is the representative of that country. At the time, the former president had embraced the ambassador and expressed his heartfelt condolences. “We are not accustomed to this politics in Sri Lanka, but when a country is civilized, politics is also civilized,” she said in her letter.
We thank the International Special Envoy
