The trade unions say that if the government does not cancel the agreement signed with the United States regarding the Kerawalapitiya Yugadanavi power plant, a massive trade union action will be taken in the future.
The convener of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) Joint Trade Union Alliance Ranjan Jayalal stated that a massive agitation is already planned for the 3rd of this month.
He further stated that all regiments of the CEB will be made a National Protest Day on that day and the government should take action to cancel this agreement before then.
