A Russian shelling in the southeastern Luhansk region has killed two civilians and injured three civilians, a local official told Al Jazeera.
Meanwhile, Luhansk region chief Serhiy Hayday said on his Facebook page that eight people had been rescued from the rubble of houses destroyed by shelling.

The 1977 Geneva Convention banned the use of white phosphorus bombs during conflict. It is said that the explosives were contained in a large area of Ukraine.

Meanwhile, air strike sirens are ringing in all parts of Ukraine.
The war has destroyed 4,431 residential buildings in Ukraine. According to NEXTA TV, at least 651 residential buildings in Ukraine have been completely destroyed by emergency services in Ukraine since February 24, when the Russian invasion began. About 3,780 houses were damaged, the television station said, citing the service.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces say Russian troops have evacuated the city of Makariv, a suburb of Kiev, after heavy fighting.
