Investigations into the explosion of cans containing organic liquid fertilizer have shown that the fertilizer was manufactured substandard.
This was stated by Prof. Buddhi Marambe of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya.
He also points out that applying this fertilizer in excess of the required amount could cause damage to the crop.
