The Central Bank of Sri Lanka noted that land prices in the Colombo district are showing a marked increase.
As announced by the Central Bank, the land valuation index value of the Colombo district has risen to 186.9 showing an annual increase of 17% and the Central Bank points out that the increase in the land valuation index is a result of the increase in all three indices namely residential, commercial and industrial.
Karmila land prices showed the highest percentage increase with an annual growth of 20.6%.
It has also been further stated that there has been an increase in the prices of commercial and residential land respectively.
