The government is focusing on increasing water tariffs for water consumers over 30 units.
However, Minister of Water Supply and Drainage Vasudeva Nanayakkara stated that there will be no change in the water tariff for low income earners.
The Minister further stated that despite the losses incurred by the Procurement Board in the past, they are now earning a revenue commensurate with their expenditure.
