Covid has been reported to have infected 43 Indian nationals working in a factory in Hambantota.
A few days ago, six Indian nationals working in the factory were diagnosed with Covid infection, said Dr. Chandima Siritunga, Director of Health Services, Southern Province.
Other employees were then sent to Covid for tests, where 37 more infected people were identified.
Accordingly, Indian nationals infected with Covid are currently being treated at the Hambantota Base Hospital, the Southern Provincial Director of Health Services said.
