The enjoining order issued by the court on behalf of the Sri Lankan government on Russia’s national airline was issued on the second day of last month. Although the enjoining order has been lifted today (06), diplomatic relations between the two countries have been severely damaged.
The Sri Lankan community also strongly condemned the incident and strongly criticized the government on social media. Also, mail shipments to Russia have been stopped. That is the lack of aircraft to send to Russia.
The Minister of Civil Aviation stated yesterday that it was not a government action but a judicial action. But the Minister of Civil Aviation, who does not even know that the judiciary is a government institution, said that according to the law, the judiciary is a state institution. Anyway, by now it’s all over. Not only the state administration but also the state institutions are working to level Sri Lanka day by day.
