The Meteorological Department has predicted that the bad weather conditions in some parts of the island can be expected further.
Accordingly, there is a possibility of occasional rain or thundershowers in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-Western provinces and Galle and Matara districts. Also, there is a high possibility of heavy rains exceeding 100 mm in some places in these areas.
The Department of Meteorology has further stated that there is a possibility of thunderstorms in the evening or night in the rest of the island and there is a possibility of heavy rain exceeding 75 mm in some places.

The Department of Meteorology requests the public to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by strong winds and lightning.
