COMMISSION CROW RETURNS TO LITRO. THE SECRET TO BECOMING A B ILLIOAIRE IS TO NOT HAVE A BASIC

Sri Lanka has become the most polluted country in the world when compared to other countries. There are thieves and leaders who are legally stealing. In addition, they are trillionaires who make money through illegal means.

This report is about a robber who is about to be appointed as the new chairman of a gas company called Litro in Sri Lanka, according to a report on a website called ‘C’ News in Sri Lanka.

Excerpt from Lanka “C News” website.

Political sources say that Muditha Peiris is preparing to be appointed as the Chairman of Litro Gas. Muditha Peiris was the Managing Director of the government during the last government period and he is well known as a person who was involved in large scale bribery. He has publicly stated on several occasions that he had given money to former Minister Wimal Weerawansa on several occasions.

    Muditha’s commission game.

Muditha Peiris, Managing Director, Litro Gas, has previously held large bribes in awarding tenders to Mauria Udyog Ltd of India, Oman Trading International and Shell Singapore for LPG supply.

Mitko International, Mitko Construction, Mitko Skyswitch, Mitko Trading and Mitko Homes all came under his control by appointing him to the Mitko Group.

Through these companies, Muditha Peeris owns six luxury homes in Australia. The bribes he receives are made through his accounts. The houses were bought with the bribe money.

Mitco Homes has built a 9-storey luxury apartment complex called Brickxgate ‘brickgate’ on 87 perches of land in the Hunupitiya area in Wattala and the value of this project is in the hundreds of millions. He has done this with the public money he has looted by manipulating tenders illegally.

How to give LPG tender and take commissions illegally

He had also enlisted the help of Lakmali Hapuarachchi, the Finance Director of Litro Gas, for the robbery. With her assistance at board meetings, she has prevented other legitimate, qualified LPG suppliers from awarding tenders to those suppliers.

The robbery was carried out jointly by Muditha Peiris and Lakmali Hapuarachchi and the tender was awarded to any supplier who paid the commission they demanded. They have entered into an agreement with Oman Energy Trading International (OTI), an Oman energy trading company, to supply Litro Gas LPG. Through the transaction, Muditha Peiris and Lakmali Hapuarachchi were bribed by the OTI to pay a monthly commission of USD 6 USD per LPG metric ton. Litro buys 350,000 metric tons a year. The amount of commission earned by the two in such a purchase was tigers. This OTI is a previously badly documented company that deals with Litro Gas due to the greed of Muditha and Lakmali to take bribes.

Managing Director Muditha Peiris and Finance Director will receive US $ 4 per metric ton of LPG, while the bribe-taker will receive US $ 6 per tonne and the remaining $ 2 will be given to a minister close to Muditha. Lakmali, the managing director and finance director of Litro Gas, is paid by the OTI on a monthly basis and a source close to them told us that they were two people who did their best to stay in their positions.

Commissions to Muditha from LPG cylinder supply contract

The contract for supply of LPG cylinders was awarded to Mauria Udyog Ltd. of India by Litro Gas. Given to the Company. The contract value awarded to Mauria Udyog Ltd last year exceeded US $ 10 million. Managing Director Muditha Peiris and Finance Director Lakmali Hapuarachchi were paid a bribe of US $ 2 for each cylinder supplied by Mauria Udyog Ltd. Litro gas cylinders supplied by Indian Mauria Udyog Ltd. have been the cause of many problems.

    – Receives about 100,000 complaints per month for over 2 years, and distributes about 40,000 rubber gaskets each month to distributors to prevent gas leaks in new Mauria Udyog Ltd LPG cylinders.

    – The LPG cylinder supplied by Mauria Udyog Ltd has a 60% overall leakage rate.

    – At least seven people have been killed and several others seriously injured in gas leaks from these faulty cylinders. However, in such a risky environment, Litro Gas Managing Director Muditha Peiris is making a profit with Mauria Udyog Ltd.

Public Minister who was a blessing to financial fraud.

In all the above transactions, Litro Gas Managing Director Muditha Peiris and Lakmali, the Finance Director, were involved in the racket. During the 2015 General Elections, thousands of printed gas cylinders were provided free of charge to support this Minister’s election campaign. This is a serious irregularity related to the use of public money for an election campaign. Former Minister Ravi Karunanayake is behind these financial frauds.

To further perpetuate these scams, Pushpakumara Edirisinghe, Kamal Wickramasinghe and Jayantha Basnayake were promoted to directors of Litro Gas Company and their monthly directors’ salaries and vehicle allowances were increased by Rs. 500,000. These three directors got their promotions to get Muditha Peiris and Lakmali Hapuarachchi to carry out their frauds as they wished. All three were promoted to directors because of their loyalty.

    Litro gas funds spent improperly.

Muditha Harshajith, Chief Financial Officer, Litro Gas, testified before the Permanent High Court in November 2018 that Litro Gas Funds (Public Funds) were used to pay transportation allowances to 39 individuals who were not employees of the company. However, the payments were not approved and the CFO testified that the payments were made through a secret account maintained by Litro Gas Company with public funds.

In whose interest is Mudithama made the chairman?

He has no basic education to hold any position other than that of Managing Director of the largest LPG gas company in our country. Who wants to be the sole chairman of Litro Gas with such a history? However, it is a well known secret that he was appointed as the Managing Director of Litro Gas by Ravi Karunanayake at that time. He has publicly stated on several occasions that he had given money to former Minister Wimal Weerawansa on several occasions. According to Litro Gas Company sources, the amount earned as printed assets is almost unaccountable. So what does a thief like Muditha Peiris, who used his position and official power to extort large commissions, expect to be given the chairmanship of Litro Gas? Who is the strongest political figure behind this appointment to make Muditha Peiris the Chairman?

    As they have questioned.
