Indian superstar Gagan Malik has entered the clerical life through his popular film ‘Sri Siddhartha Gautama’, reports say on social media.
According to foreign media reports, he had shaved his head recently and entered the clerical life wearing a kasawa.
He was ordained at the Royal Monastery in Bangkok shortly afterwards.
Gagan Malik, who has become popular all over Asia, has entered the clergy for a period of 15 days, foreign media further reports.
He wrote on his Facebook account that this was the time to learn the Dhamma, to understand the infinite, to acquire knowledge and that it was time for the Dhamma to spread in India.
