The Department of Meteorology announced that there will be light rain in some parts of the island today (16).
The department announced that light rain is expected in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces today.
Furthermore, the same department mentions that there will be rain in the districts of Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara.
However, the Department of Meteorology stated that there is no rain in the rest of the island today.
Meanwhile, the department has announced that there may be some rain in the offshore areas from Puttalam to Galle via Colombo.
And the announcement issued by the department further states that the sea areas off the coast from Puttalam to Kankasanthurai through Mannar and from Hambantota to Pothuvil are quite rough from time to time.
