If it’s a different year that we experience in life, it could be this New Year’s Day. But for the ancients, New Year’s Day may have been a different experience.
The people of our country began to suffer from the very beginning of Kovid. About two years ago, thousands of Sri Lankans began to suffer due to unplanned economic plans. The people of this country were deceived by political deals that did not think of a future generation by giving various offers. But the majority did not look at them deceived. Because there was nothing to do.
It is not the political parties in this country that have raised racism and divided the nations during the election period and exposed the false barbarism of the Sri Lankans. The ordinary people who helped them also gave them the dirty work they needed in the hope of various privileges.
Members of Parliament fight, lying to the camera. Little did most of the people of this country know that they themselves were sitting in the same Parliamentary canteen, grinning happily. The same nefarious politicians instructed their own neighbors to attack their own people in their constituencies. It was the dirty politics in this country that destroyed the unity of the country.
Public servants created for political parties also played another role in this devastation. As far as we can remember, this division and destruction begins with the appointment of teachers during the Janasavi period. But we do not remember that those teachers were involved in politics at that time. Also, in the villages we know, the youth of that time would have been given teaching appointments if they had fulfilled the relevant qualifications without any political differences. Maybe there is politics under hand. After 1994, the social and economic devastation of the country began. Economic devastation is not the only one. It was the then government that used to poison the Sri Lankan people by destroying even agriculture. He increased the salaries of public servants, increased the prices of goods in the country and recruited public servants for politics. At present there are 4 or 5 public officers in a Grama Niladhari Division. But now Sri Lanka is a bankrupt hot country.
Public service itself is a breeding ground for bribery, exploitation, fraud, corruption, and waste. But not all public servants. The majority of public servants do so. 2005 also marks the beginning of a debt trap for the people. For a country to develop, people must get rid of debt. The socio-economic as well as the political and religious cults that are needed to build a society have now fled the country.
Politicians, public servants, voters who have politicized for various privileges as well as the majority of media institutions as well as journalists who have done everything with a political eye are accused of this destruction. All those who bent the law, did not enforce it, and worked outside the law are the accused in the trial court that brought this process to the country.
Now the youth of this country have taken to the streets to punish all these corrupt people. It will start on March 31, 2022. It is no secret that neither the President nor the Secretary of Defense attacked the people that day, knowingly or unknowingly. The people who came in front of the President’s House demanded that the President be asked to find a solution. But the security forces took steps to brutally attack the unarmed civilians. The enraged people took to the streets for the country. It is not a campaign. A wave of protests. There are still no racial or religious differences in those campaigns. More than 80% of the people are now in those protests. These agitations have now been taken over by the youth of this country. They are adamant that the president and prime minister should step down.
Until now, the country has had trade union struggles demanding higher wages and solutions to problems. Even the unions that fought for higher wages in their jobs continued to oppress the people. Now it is all upside down and the youth community is on the rise. It is no secret that the international community is also intervening for the protection of these young people.
By now, all the young people on the road were changing. Even MPs and ministers are beginning to feel the fear of death. The cabinet itself demanded and resigned. All their powers are now on their knees. The houses of many MPs in the village have been closed. They live in hiding with their children. These young people have done everything they can to put an end to the base politics that have been lying for years. Addressing the nation, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa recalled an era of 88/89 terror. But this time no one will be allowed to do so. Everything is different today than it was then. Now the majority of the people in this country do not have faith in politics. It is the youth community that stands up against the majority of politicians who spread lies during the election season. Today, these young Galle Face New Year celebrations are aimed at creating a better country for all Sri Lankans and expelling thieves.
The government is also using various tactics to stifle this youth struggle. But they are not successful tactics. It was also seen on the internet that all their tactics were being reported to the battlefield. The youth community of this country has now gone down in history for its success. They have begun to build their future generations. It is clear that it happens with good discipline. To understand that, you have to come to the ground of the struggles at Galle Face Green.
Currently, the world’s largest milkshake of 5,000 kg is being prepared. At the same time, Sri Lanka’s struggle to drive out thieves will go down in world history for thousands of years.
We do not want a commission state anymore. We also do not want a generation without a future. Now is the time for commissions-swallowing public servants and political authorities to develop and think. Today, the battlefield may even go to the world record books. The youth community is leading the way in resolving this crisis. The ‘April Struggle Against Corruption’ is written in the World History Book as a Sri Lankan land of successful sons and daughters who have brought political, public servants as well as the bourgeois elite to their knees, guiding the expulsion of experts.
