The Treasury had requested the Minister of Finance to increase the price of fuel to reduce the fuel consumption of the consumers. We reported that demand and prices yesterday. Accordingly, a press release was issued yesterday at exactly 12.00 midnight after which the fuel price was increased.
Accordingly, the new revised fuel prices are as follows.
92 petrol (octane) from 157 rupees to 177 rupees by 20 rupees,
95 petrol (octane) from 184 rupees to 207 rupees by 23 rupees.
Auto diesel from 111 rupees to 121 rupees by 10 rupees,
Super diesel from Rs. 144 to Rs. 159 at Rs.
The price of kerosene has been increased from 77 rupees to 87 rupees by 10 rupees.
Experts warn that prices of other consumer goods will rise further as prices rise. If all these things are not brought under control day by day and brought back to normal, the pressure among the people will increase and various conflicts may arise in the society.
Many who have already worked in various fields have had to quit their jobs. A large number of workers and engineers, especially those employed in the construction sector, are losing their jobs.
Due to the fertilizer problem, the farmers and the people who work for hire in connection with the farms are losing their jobs. Similarly, Sinhalese and Tamils working in tea estates are unable to earn even 200 rupees a day. That is because of the fertilizer problem. Tea leaf litter is reduced without fertilizer. There are estates. But the leaves are greatly reduced. But it has not been a problem for the newly pruned estates.
Businesses will also collapse as the prices of these goods rise. People will get used to living the way they are. Then businesses and their employees could lose their jobs. What will be the decision of the people if these are not resolved soon? Will there be more thieves and enemies? Will people die of starvation? Go, look at the problems and find solutions to them.
However, the people themselves are facing these man-made schemes. Achieving their own narrow goals over the years (to win contracts for themselves after the victory of their party, to get themselves or their son, daughter, nephew or son a government job, to destroy the environment including trees and vines, to destroy old temples, to worship themselves Today, the people themselves are experiencing the consequences of casting their valuable vote for apostasy, etc., through their own political leaders to achieve those narrow goals. Even in elections, it is these Sri Lankan voters who have been instrumental in elevating criminals and sending just people home. If people do not want to choose the good or the bad, then the result will be natural for the people. Without that, there is no point in blaming any government or its MPs and ministers. The people themselves get the result of their actions.
