President Ranil Wickramasinghe has submitted a proposal to the Asian Development Bank to establish an international university on climate change in Sri Lanka so that students from any country in the world can study.
The Presidential Media Division stated that the President made the relevant proposal during the meeting held today (30) morning with the Chairman of the Asian Development Bank, Mr. Masatsugu Asakawa.
The meeting was held this morning at the Asian Development Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.
The chairman of the Asian Development Bank has mentioned that he will continue to cooperate with Sri Lanka.
Also, it is reported that President Ranil Wickramasinghe has taken steps to inform the Chairman of the Asian Development Bank in the same discussion regarding the activities of Sri Lanka with the International Monetary Fund.
