Sri Lanka has collapsed politically with the current economic downturn. With the collapse of both those sections, the social breakdown is also taking place rapidly.
Sri Lanka itself became violent with the recent attack on the peaceful struggle at Galle Face. But the law of Sri Lanka was not properly enforced. The brutal attacks on people on the battlefield sparked outrage throughout Sri Lanka as the people could not bear the economic downturn. People in all four directions of Sri Lanka lived with the struggle. But the law of the land worked in a strange way. By law, no one could be arrested, but only those who attacked the struggle should be arrested and prosecuted. But even there, only another 2,000 were arrested and part of the criminals released to society.
Within a week of the crash, five unidentified gunmen shot and killed five spies and prosecutors who had been assisting the government and security forces in drug and other matters, the Aruna newspaper reported. It further states that the perpetrators of the murder of the officers investigating the drug are also active.
President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has also ordered that security be provided to the investigation teams that are under threat.
