The Sri Lankan Minister of Petroleum, who speaks very humbly when speaking, was humble enough to lie openly to the public for whatever reason he did not say and to say goodbye to the parents of the Minister of Petroleum.
His first lie was told on May 26th. From then until now, Kanchana Wijesekera has uttered a number of powerful lies that could have cost him his political career.
Many things like the publication of various fuel pricing formulas, filling stations and so on took place under the ignorant management of him and the key public servants of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation.
Knowing that fuel will not reach Sri Lanka, it recently introduced a coupon system again. If the Minister does not know that fuel is not coming to Sri Lanka, do we, the citizens, know that? However, the people behind these catastrophes and those responsible are still at loggerheads with the people.
The consequences of lying to the people are so severe that this is the reason why Sri Lanka is in this situation. The absence of truthful leaders created a non-truthful public service as well as an opportunistic people. The result is so dire that ordinary citizens have at least 10 liters of fuel in their homes, blaming the government and politicians as well as public servants. Therefore, it is not only the political and government officials who are responsible for setting the country on fire, but also the bad citizens who are part of it.
