Two suspicious containers imported from Pakistan have been raided by customs officials.
The containers were imported by a company in the Wattala area and they stated that the containers contained 53,000 kilograms of potatoes imported from an Indian company.
However, a search by customs officials found 16,000 kilograms of beetroot in the country.
Customs officials said that the stock of beetroot worth over Rs. 03 million was confiscated and a fine was imposed on the importer.
