According to the Ministry of Tourism, about 4,000 Ukrainian tourists are currently staying in Sri Lanka.
The Ministry has stated that the tourists will be in the country for about 30 days and their visas will expire in 30 days.
However, due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, the Ministry of Tourism has instructed the relevant travel agents to extend the visas for tourists who wish to stay in Sri Lanka.
The Ministry of Tourism has also instructed the agencies to make arrangements for the return of tourists to other countries as there will be no direct flights to Ukraine after the expiry of their visas.
