The Ministry of External Affairs has announced that the body of Diyawadanage Don Nandasiri Priyantha Kumara, who was brutally murdered in Sialkot, Pakistan, will be brought to Sri Lanka tomorrow (06).
According to the relevant Nivana, the body will be brought to Sri Lanka by SriLankan Airlines at state expense.
Priyantha Fernando’s relatives are preparing to receive the body at the Bandaranaike International Airport and the process is being coordinated by the Ministry of External Affairs.
Coordinating with the Sri Lankan High Commission in Islamabad and the Ministry of External Affairs, arrangements are also being made to pay compensation to the affected party.
The Foreign Ministry said it was in talks with Pakistani authorities and the employer of the dead.
