A woman from the Amipegama area has reportedly fallen into a pit about 45 feet deep.
The Baddegama Police received information this morning (19) that a woman had fallen into a pit about 45 feet deep in the Miriswatta Tiger Mountain area in Amipegama.
Residents of the area have been informed by the police due to a moaning voice.
Police immediately rescued the 50-year-old woman trapped in the pit with the help of locals.
It is reported that the pit was dug to obtain graphite and the woman was in a critical condition at the time of her rescue, police said.
Accordingly, she was admitted to the Karapitiya Hospital in Galle and it is suspected that she had fallen into the pit yesterday (18).
So far no one was able to send in the perfect solution, which is not strange.
