A job quota of 6,500 was given to Sri Lanka for Korean jobs and 8,000 workers will be recruited for Korean jobs in excess of that number. It is reported that the agreement was expressed.
Also, the department has decided to refer 600 of these job candidates for jobs in the ship construction sector and by transferring the job sectors from the industry sector to the ship construction sector, they are going to be directed for these jobs. The Korean Human Resources Department has expressed its agreement to conduct examinations and recruit 900 painters and welders for jobs in the shipbuilding industry under the E9 visa category from next year.
The director of the department stated that the Korean Language Proficiency Test will be conducted using the UBT method instead of the CBT method from next year.
