It is reported that a youth has lost his life after a group of people entered a house in Palinagar area of Mallavi police domain.
The 23-year-old man who was shot died on the spot.
It is said that the dead body has been kept under police protection at the scene of the incident to conduct the magisterial investigation.
The police are conducting further investigations to arrest the suspects who carried out the shooting.
